Full Text:

Blind Date with a Book Returns to OPPL During Month of February Orland Park, IL (Jan. 22, 2019) – Do you judge a book by its cover? Make a date to stop in at the Orland Park Public Library and try something new during the “Blind Date with a Book” promotion, now in its fourth year. Library patrons judging books by their cover might be missing out on some good reads, so those interested are encouraged to stop by the Adult Services Reference Desk on the second floor of the library to choose a “date” throughout the month of February. “They’re all good books and our hope is that patrons will end up reading something they’ll really like,” said Andy Masura, adult services manager. Books are wrapped in brown paper to keep patrons from seeing their covers. Only a few details about the books are revealed on the outside of the paper. Some of the genres included in “Blind Date with a Book” are mystery, romance, sci-fi, and graphic novels. Books are also available in large type and audiobook format. Celebrate your love of reading and unlike blind dates, the month-long promotion is free of charge. Will it be a match made in reader heaven this February? For more information, visit orlandparklibrary.org or call 708-428-5100. The Orland Park Public Library is located at 14921 Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
