What happens when you realize that your community is unaware that they have access to a library? You apply for a My Library Is... grant and use those funds to create awareness that the public library is combined with the school library!

In this podcast, RAILS Executive Director Deirdre Brennan talks with Durand CUSD #322 school librarian Audra Hill and Kelly Giovanine, Executive Director of Durand Charm, a local non-profit, about their My Library Is… grant project to promote the library. They discuss the video they made for the grant, and how the mayor jumped at the chance to share his enthusiasm for the library.

This is a great example of connecting with the community to promote the library and build awareness.
